ISO/IEC 27001 is an international standard that specifies requirements for information security management systems (ISMS) for organizations. The ISO/IEC 27001 standard also specifies requirements for dealing with information security risks.
ISMSs are particularly essential for healthcare facilities and service providers in the healthcare sector, as highly sensitive patient data is processed here and its protection is paramount.

C5 for even more security when using the cloud
Telepaxx is not only certified in accordance with ISO 27001, but also holds a certificate for the Telepaxx Medical Data Cloud (TMD Cloud) in accordance with the C5 criteria catalog of the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI).
Such a C5 certificate will be mandatory for the use of cloud solutions in medical facilities from spring 2027 at the latest.
NIS-2 calls for more information security measures
The NIS-2 Directive came into force as EU law in January 2023, but has not yet been transposed into national law by Germany.
However, one thing is clear: the national implementation of NIS-2 will come - according to current estimates at the beginning of 2026. It calls for increased measures for information security, including for the defense against and management of cyber attacks.
