Customers that have implemented our cloud-based solutions
St. Josef Hospital wanted to replace its hard disk image archive with a more flexible system and digitize the image sharing.
After intensive research, Asklepios hospital group opted for the Telepaxx long-term archive, partly due to its interoperability.
In the radiomed practice network in hesse, all branches can access the centrally stored images and findings.
How doctors and IT benefit from using the Cloud PACS
More flexible working
Thanks to protected web-based data access, doctors can call up and diagnose the image data from any end device and any location.
Easy integration
Thanks to standard interfaces, our cloud PACS solution is compatible with existing IT systems and can be installed at short notice.
Protected data access
The image data is stored and communicated in encrypted form in the cloud. This offers the highest level of data protection when processing patient data.
Vendor-neutral archive
The integrated cloud archive is vendor-neutral (VNA). It can therefore also be combined with local PACS software and a RIS/KIS.
Further information on the topics of cloud, PACS and VNA
A Vendor Neutral Archive (VNA) frees hospitals from vendor dependency. This blog article shows the potential for medical institutions of combining a PACS with a Vendor Neutral Archive.
Local, hybrid or completely in the cloud? PACS is essential for imaging and reporting. While local solutions are tried and tested, cloud solutions offer new possibilities. Which strategy suits you?

FA& about the Cloud PACS
PACS stands for Picture Archiving and Communication System, i.e. a digital system for archiving and communicating medical image data. A PACS is a modern standard in the medical sector, radiology and other imaging disciplines.
Telepaxx Medical Data encrypts the image data and diagnostic data in the TMD Cloud. The keys are managed separately. This ensures maximum data security and absolute compliance with the GDPR.
The security mechanisms of the TMD Cloud from Telepaxx were tested in accordance with the C5 criteria catalog of the German Federal Office for Information Security . Due to the high level of existing protective measures, the TMD Cloud was therefore issued a C5 certificate (type 1) in March 2025. In addition, the TMD Cloud has also been certified in accordance with the ISO 27001 standard since July 2025.
Absolutely! The TMD Cloud is a flexible software-as-a-service from the cloud that has been specially developed for the requirements of hospitals and other medical facilities.
In addition to the flexibly expandable archive storage, a cloud-based hospital PACS makes everyday life easier for doctors and IT departments: patient data is quickly available across departments and locations and can be viewed at any time thanks to the web viewer.
To get started, we recommend using a cloud PACS as a flexible secondary PACS or as a backup concept to an existing, local PACS solution in order to increase business continuity.
Yes, the TMD Cloud PACS solution has a C5 certificate from the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI). This C5 certificate (type 1) confirms that the TMD Cloud meets the requirements of the C5 criteria catalog and may therefore be used in hospitals and other medical facilities.
Further information on the C5 test certificate from Telepaxx can be found here.
Yes, Telepaxx Medical Data has been ISO-27001 certified since July 2025.
This certification in accordance with the globally recognized ISO/IEC 27001 standard demonstrates the effectiveness of our information security management system (ISMS), which forms the framework for managing the information security of our company and our software solutions.
You can find more information about Telepaxx's ISO certification here.
The Cloud PACS is an ideal solution for clinics of all sizes - even for clinics without their own radiology department. With the Cloud PACS, you can store, view and manage your patients' diagnostic image data across locations and departments.
This is technically possible in principle. However, before replacing a local PACS installation with a cloud PACS, we recommend first developing contingency plans in case, for example, the facility's internet connection fails.
The cloud PACS cannot function without an internet connection, so a redundant internet supply must be guaranteed at all times.
We know from our customers that they use the cloud PACS as a secondary PACS to their primary PACS and for special use cases such as image networks or background services.
Naturally! The cloud PACS offered by Telepaxx offers you the option of storing medical data in the cloud in parallel to your primary PACS as part of a failure concept at Telepaxx in compliance with data protection regulations and retrieving it from the cloud.
If your primary PACS fails, the cloud PACS takes over and you can access the stored images and findings again in the shortest possible time via a certified web viewer using a web browser.
Further information on this can be found on our subpage on business continuity.
The costs for the cloud PACS are usage-dependent. Telepaxx offers attractive monthly package prices for medical practices and clinics of all sizes. A general answer to this question is therefore unfortunately not possible.

All Telepaxx cloud-based solutions are vendor-neutral. In other words, no matter which modality or software such as PACS, RIS or HIS you currently use or would like to use in the future: The cloud PACS is compatible with them and a change of manufacturer is simple and straightforward at any time. If required, you will receive additional assistance from our own support team based in Germany.
All our software solutions are designed to be manufacturer-neutral, as we want to offer our customers maximum flexibility.
Currently, MedDream's powerful and widely used DICOM viewer is available as standard as part of the Telepaxx Cloud PACS. However, we are working on connecting other cloud-based viewers to offer our customers a choice.
Please let us know which DICOM viewer you would like to use instead.
In contrast to the KHZG, the KHVVG does not promote individual digitization measures, but rather holistic concepts to ensure nationwide coverage in the future.
Interoperability will play an even greater role in the future. For example, data will have to be exchanged quickly and digitally between facilities more frequently than in the past, for example as part of telemedical networks.
Solutions such as the cloud PACS from Telepaxx support this networking because, in addition to protected data storage in the cloud, they also rely on standardized communication protocols and interfaces that are compatible with common software systems such as RIS/KIS and PACS.
Please contact us to find out more about how the Telepaxx Cloud PACS can be integrated into your IT strategy as part of the KHVVG.
